Rick Garza is director of the state agency that regulates the cannabis industry. He has been with the WSLCB since 1997, and spent the 13 years prior to that in various staff roles with the Washington State Legislature. Fun fact: in 2016 Rick was inducted into the National Conference of State Liquor Administrators Hall of Fame.

Several of our members spent Thursday - Sunday in Victoria attending the District Training and Conference. You can expect to hear some great stories, including some recognition for our Club from President Linda Kaye Briggs, President Elect Carol Duris, Secretary Cindy Niemi, Past President Becky Fontaine, Sally Leighton, Monique Nadeau and Tracy Peacock. Our wonderful Exchange Students Jacob and Renata were there as well!
Spring Firesides

Linda Kaye is working on a great question that will be sure to enhance your conversations around the dinner table!
CAMP GOODTIMES
It's time to pull out your calendar and make a plan to help out this summer at Camp Goodtimes on Vashon Island. Our day will be July 18, and once again Ann Voves will be coordinating volunteers. We will have sign up sheets at the meetings starting at the end of May, the theme this year is Super Human!

August 3 530 p.m.How about a culinary trip to Spain? Your main dish will be a Barcelona style Paella made with arroz bomba, shrimp, chicken, Chorizo, clams or mussels depending on availability. September 14 5:30 p.m. The Mount Rushmore dinner as it has never been before! Hosted in September by Past-President Linda Kaye Briggs, President Carol Duris and President- Elect Kathryn Nelson. You will enjoy this multi course meal and wines at the Baker Condominiums Community Room at Point Ruston. Price per person is $125
Jeremy was introduced by his sponsor Stacey Ogle. He may have looked familiar because he has attended a few meetings prior to his introduction. He shared that his father is a 35 year member of the Rotary Club in Clovis, New Mexico, and when he told his dad he was joining Rotary he thought that he was just as excited as he had been when his first granddaughter was born. (I think he was joking) Jeremy and his wife have a boy and a girl and have been married for 21 years and live in Gig Harbor. He is the Director of Development for the NW Furniture Bank. Another great addition to our club! Welcome!
