Thursday at 5 at YMCA was super!
Phil Carter pulled out all of the stops to help us really appreciate what the University YMCA has to offer. Members and guests enjoyed exercise, goodies to eat and staff to share information about programming at the Y. Phil also invited Mark Pagano, UWT Chancellor. who shared a bit of the history of UWT and how the partnership with the Y evolved. Who knew the building really is owned by UWT? Then came Cal Bamford, a wonderful community philanthropist, who explained his interest in the Y. Charlie Davis, the CEO of the YMCA, wrapped it up by acknowledging the partnership the Y has had with Rotary 8 since the 70's. If you check our history book that involvement actually started in 1918!
