Sound Transit CEO Peter Rogoff has been a leading transit executive for more than a decade. Rogoff spent 22 years on the staff of the Senate Appropriations Committee, including 14 years as Democratic Staff Director on the Transportation Subcommittee. From 2009-2014 Rogoff led the Federal Transit Administration under President Obama, and from 2014-2016 he was the Under Secretary of Transportation for Policy at the U.S. Department of Transportation. Since coming to Sound Transit in 2016, Rogoff has been overseeing the largest transit expansion program in North America, building a $54 billion, 116-mile regional rapid transit network by 2041.

Sound Transit CEO Peter Rogoff will outline the agency’s current work to build the largest mass transit expansion in the nation as mandated by Puget Sound voters. He will focus on Sound Transit’s Pierce County projects including the Tacoma Dome Link Extension and the Hilltop Extension, as well as the agency’s partnerships in Tacoma to create jobs and affordable housing.
