Nick Frank, CPA, Senior Manager

Nick has 14 years of public accounting experience specializing in providing tax services for entities in the manufacturing industry, with an emphasis on food and beverage companies.  The majority of Nick’s time is spent helping companies and the owners maximize their tax situation to help achieve cash flow and business goals.  Nick is also very well versed in family transition planning, mergers and acquisitions, state and international issues, defending IRS Exams, and various industry specific tax credits.  Nick is one of the firm designated tax technical QC reviewers for the Northwest Region and he has been awarded the firm’s advanced certification in the field of manufacturing and distribution.  Before joining Moss Adams in 2009, Nick worked for a Big Four firm where he specialized in high net worth individuals, emerging start-up companies, and publicly traded companies.

Gary Stirbis, JD, LLM, DIRECTOR

Gary is the director of the firm’s Tax Controversy & Dispute Resolution Practice. He manages major IRS engagements for clients and handles all aspects of representation before the IRS, including audits, appeals, collections, excise taxes, private letter rulings, and various procedural matters.  Gary previously worked for the Office of Chief Counsel for the Internal Revenue Service, providing advice to IRS field agents and the Office of Appeals on all matters pertaining to the interpretation, administration, and enforcement of Internal Revenue laws. He further represented the IRS in the United States Tax Court and provided other legal support needed by IRS personnel.
